Founded over 50 years ago as a specialty retailer in mens extra-sized footwear, KINGSIZE grew to become a leading direct mail catalog of Big and Tall men's clothing. I’m a tall girl. I love being tall most of the time. But sometimes (ok, a lot of the time) random strangers or people I’ve just met feel the need to point out my height (6’2″) or ask if I played basketball (yes, I did). I don’t love that.

Quincy co-founders Christina Wallace and Alex Nelson met as sectionmates at Harvard Business School where they bonded over an appetite for fashion and the struggle to find “tall girl pants.”
As professional women, they were seasoned veterans of the department store dance of death, having spent years battling their way through racks and shelves on a tireless search for boardroom-appropriate clothes that were flattering, feminine and that didn’t completely break the bank. They understood first-hand the frustration of a fruitless shopping trip, and after polling some friends and colleagues, they soon realized they were not alone.
